For this assignment, I took pictures of my little sister, Katie.


DON'T chop off the head in a full body shot:

DO chop off the head in a close up:

DON'T crop below the knees:

DO crop above the knees:

DON'T crop below the elbows:

DO crop above the elbows:

DON'T crop too close to the eyebrows:

DO crop away from the eyebrows:

DON'T cut off the ears:

DO keep the ears in the frame:

DON'T shoot up the nose:

DO angle the head downwards:

DON'T turn sideways so the arm disappears:

DO turn so that both arms are in the frame:

DON'T always shoot at face level:

DO get higher or stand on something for an interesting angle:

Picture into Words

I took a picture of Judy Garland as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz and put it into a picture made of words. I used words like "Judy", "Kansas","Oz", "Toto", and "Ruby Slippers".
